Home Learning January 13

Posted: January 13, 2022

Good morning girls and boys!  Today is Thursday, January 13, 2022.  We are almost finished the first week of home learning.

Language Arts:

1. Study the spelling list.  Have someone ask you the words and write them down.  See how many you can get correct.  What fraction of the word list did you get right?

2.  Read the Poem “Winter Surprise” and answer the comprehension questions.  This includes a writing component as well.  One of the questions in the pack includes alliteration. There an example given, but here is a quick video to help you further understand.

3.  Read for 15-20 minutes.  This can be a book of your own choice, or working on the book that was sent home.

4.  Word Work:  A/An sheet.  This is a two-sided sheet.  Work on completing one side.  Here is a quick video for further explanation.

5.  I have included a cursive writing pack.  There are the first four letters (upper and lower case).  You can work on these at any time at your own pace.

Math:

1.  Work on the sheet “It’s Almost the New Year” for a review of telling time.

2.  Work on the following problem.  Show your work and write a sentence in the scribbler provided.

Tell 3 important times of day for you and draw an analog clock and a digital clock for each.  Try to make them at different minutes (ex. Breakfast at 7:30, lunch at 12:15, homework at 5:45).

3.  Work on the assignments on SplashLearn.
