Good morning girls and boys!  Today is Tuesday, January 18, 2022.  Here is the assigned work for today.    Please note the login information on the sheet in your packs for SplashLearn has a typo…the correct class code is CKGIYI

Language Arts:

1. Study the spelling list.  Choose 5 words from your list to write sentences.  Write these in your scribbler.

2.  Yesterday you worked on a plan for the Opinion Writing.  You should have chosen if you prefer cold weather or hot weather and written reasons.  Use the writing sheet to write an opinion piece using your plan.  There is a rubric (kind of like a cheat sheet!) on the back of your plan.  This is how you can make your writing the best piece possible.  The link below is the videos we have watched in class about persuasive writing.  Watch again for a refresh.

3.  Work on the Reading comprehension “New Year’s Resolution”.  There are questions to answer with the reading.  Work on this, if you do not finish, work on the rest tomorrow.

4.  I have included a cursive writing pack.  There are the first four letters (upper and lower case).  You can work on these at any time at your own pace.

Math:

1.  Work on the sheets “Fractions of Groups”.  Watch the videos below for some explanation of this task.

2.  Play the attached Toothy games.  These are about Fractions on a Numberline and a review of 4 digit place value.

3.  Keep working on SplashLearn assignments from the last few days.
