Literacy
Speaking and listening
Read a story to your child and ask them questions. Example: What was your favorite part? What happened at the beginning/end of the story?

Reading
Have your child read their books. Make sure your child in pointing to each word. If you child would like to read some new books login into epic books the code is above and below. Click on the GRL tab and they can read some A level books with assistance from you.

Work on learning letter Ww

Have students practice printing letter Ww. If you have Playdoh or Lego have your child build upper-case and lower-case Ww. Tell your child to pick their favorite book and see if they can find the letter Ww. Draw a picture of something that starts with Ww.
Review letters by playing a couple squiggle park games in the ABC world.
Writing
Draw a new picture or add to your writing from yesterday. Have your child label the things in their picture. (Example: me, mom, dad, sun, tree, etc.) Please don’t spell the words for them. Help them by saying the word over and over and telling them to write the letters they hear.
Sight word
Print lower case letters and 1 upper case I (the word I is always a capital letter) on a piece of paper and cut them up and have your child build the sight word you call out to them. Work on the level your child is working on.

Math
Draw a number line from 1 to 10 for your child. (warm up activity)
Practice counting forwards and backwards and have your child point to the number on the number line while they are counting.
Call out a number from 1 to 10 and have your child find it on the number line. Then ask your child what comes before the number and after the number.
Fewer and More (warm up activity)
Have your child roll two dotted dice. Say the amount on each dice and then get them to tell you which one is fewer, and which one is more.
Number 8 (this week we are working on number 8)
Practice printing number 8
Go outside and walk around your yard or apartment building 8 times.
Sorting
Have your child take out their Halloween treats and collect all the suckers. Have them sort the suckers by colors.
Subitizing (Student should be able to look at a small set and know how many)
Roll a dotted dice and have your child quickly say the amount without counting.
