Sightwords: see what level your child is at. Continue working on that level. Remember there are songs to review each level and a song for each word on youtube if they get stuck on a word (search Jan Richardson sight word songs) For example this is the Level B review song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4O5aHNnQLgE
Extra ideas to help learn new words: build the work with playdoh, rainbow writing (print the word 5 times with different colored crayons), or print the letters and cut them out and practice building the word and mess it up and build it again.
Reading: go over the five “Beginning Reading Strategies”. Then read the second “I Can Read!” page. Read one of the books I sent if you would like additional reading.
Word Work/Writing: review rhyming this week (rhyming is very important in kindergarten. If your child is still experiencing difficulty with rhyming, please continue to review it each day.
