Language Arts

Read a story to your child. Ask them to tell you something that happened in the beginning, middle and end of the story.

Letter Tracing ABC book: Trace the letters in their ABC book.  Have your child say the letter name and animal name. Make sure they are watching the arrows and starting at the dot. 

Sight words: If your child has a good grasp of most of the letters of the alphabet, you can begin to introduce them to sight words.

Draw a picture of your favorite food. Add a label to your picture (for example: the word “pizza” (at this point some students should be able to tell you what letter the word begins with).
