HomeLearning: April 6th-10th

Posted: April 6, 2020

Reading:  I know you all love books! So try to read each day for about 10-15 mins., either aloud or silently. If you do not have books at at home that are at your reading level, maybe someone at home can read aloud to you and you can help by reading some of the words that you do know!

Math:  Check out this new webiste:   iknowit.com  I have set up our classroom so that you can work on math concepts each day. It is very similar to the site "Splash Learn" that we used in our classroom.

To begin:  go to iknowit.com (also in weblinks on this page)
  click on   login
  Choose:   student
  Class code:   gr3king
  Username:  your first name
  Password:    King1

There will be assignments for you to do each week. Remember you don't have to complete everything in one day. You may need to use a pencil and paper to do some of the calculations, especially for adding and subtracting. These assignments are geared to your learning ability. If they are too difficult, a parent can contact me using my school email listed above.

Writing:
I'd really love to hear what you have been up to over the past few weeks.  So for your first writing activity I'd like you to write me a letter. Do you remember all the parts of the letter...date, greeting (Dear,  ), the body (message), the closing (From, ) and the signature?  In this letter, let me know what you have been doing to keep busy. Don't forget to add details and watch for your capital letters and punctuation marks. If you want your parents can email a photo of your letter so I get to read it!!

In the documents section on this page, I have placed the sight word spelling chart that you used in the classroom and had in your writing binders.
