Reading  

Continue reading to your child or have them listen to a story on https://www.storylineonline.net

Have your child read their books that they have at home. Make sure they are pointing to each word as they say them.

Work on learning letter Ll

Have students practice printing letter Ll on the L sheet that I sent home in the home learning package (please send the completed sheet back to school with your child when we return to school).

Draw a picture of something that starts with Ll. 

Review letters by playing a couple squiggle park games in the ABC world.

Writing  

Rainbow Writing

Have your child rainbow write their name.  They could also choose a couple of their sight words that they would like to rainbow write. We have done rainbow writing before when they were practicing their numbers.  If they forget what it means they can watch this video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2xh-DYWh1HI  (It doesn’t have to be the colors in the rainbow. They can use any colors they want).

Sight words  

Practice the words in their word wallet. If they have difficulty with a particular word, go to youtube and Jan Richardson and Jack Hartmann have a song for each word.

If your child knows all the level A words, they can begin level B.

Math  

Write the numbers 1- 10 on sticky notes and have someone hide them around the house. Go collect the sticky notes, then put the numbers in order.

or

Draw a number line from 1 to 10 for your child. Practice counting forwards and backwards and have your child point to the number on the number line while they are counting.
