Literacy block:

Reading- Listen to “Sneezy the Snowman” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eBXQN7Iv2A

Journal writing- After you have read this story, can you write a story about your snowman that you built, and he came to life one day? What would your snowman do? What would you name your snowman? What fun would you do with your snowman? Try and use the terms First, Then, Next, After that and Finally in your story. This is procedural writing, remember to start with an introduction- Ask a question, then into the body using the terms first, then, etc. and then wrap it all up with your opinion in the conclusion. I cannot want to read these stories when we return!

Brain Break- Go onto youtube and search snow volcano. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0FeqhpR6vQ

It is a fun experiment to try in the snow. If you happen to have the materials at home, give it a try!! You will need: baking soda, dish soap, food colouring, vinegar, snow, and a small container. Watch a video on how it works! Send me a video of how it turned out!

Be sure to have a snack this morning!
