Throughout the olympics, our class did well to follow along with some events. Today we did our own version of Bobsledding! We did a human bobsled race as part of the Take Me Outside Winter Challenge!

  • pink shirt day - Wednesday Feb. 23rd
  • Sign spelling test
  • study spelling unit 14 (weed, feed, meet, seen, weep, deep, keep, sleep, free, sheep, peep, green) 
  • please dress for outdoor recess (hats, mitts, snow pants etc.) 
  • pack extra masks as they do get wet from going outside!

  • Last riddle- might be a tough one!! Email me your answer- Both of my digits are the same odd number. I am between 30 and 60. I am not 25+8. What am I?
  • Play a board game with a family member!

Take the afternoon to get outside! The weather is looking nice! It’s the calm before the storm!

Give your parent/guardian a big hug and say thank you for all their hard work!!

Happy Thursday everyone!! We are getting there! Another week almost done! Another check the weather to see how much snow is coming on the weekend!!!! Sure is a chilly morning out there today, might not get outside this morning!

Soft Start; Choose an activity

Literacy block:

Reading- listen to a story on tumble books, EPIC, storyline online, or a book that you have at home.

Journal writing-  Choose a reading prompt from your home learning packet!

Brain Break- Do a just dance on youtube! 

Numeracy Block: Zorbits/Splashlearn – play for about 20 min: https://play.zorbitsmath.com/  www.splashlearn.com

  • Do day 4, and addition/subtraction fact family add/subtract 4. If you did not pick up the new packets, choose 2 sheets in your learning packet to complete
  • Play go fish make ten. (using a deck of cards, remove the face cards, and you play go 5, but you ask for the card that goes with your number to make 10 ie- if I have a 4 I will ask you for a 6).
  • Math Riddle: Email me your answer, and I will write your name down on a ticket for a prize when we return! I am not an odd number. I am less than 90-60. I am more than 16+10. What am I?

Word Work:

  • squiggle park for 20 mins.
  • Choose a Reading comprehension in your learning packet.

Journal writing- “One wish Wednesday” – if you could make one wish come true, what would your wish be and why? Today is also Bell Let's Talk Day. Maybe write a thank you note to someone special to you and brighten their day! 

Brain Break- Looks like a chilly day today, but dress warm and get out there! Or search a freeze dance on youtube to do! 

Numeracy Block: Zorbits/Splashlearn – play for about 20 min: https://play.zorbitsmath.com/  www.splashlearn.com

  • Do day 3, and addition/subtraction fact family add/subtract 3. If you did not pick up the new packets, choose 2 sheets in your learning packet to complete
  • Practice your double facts; use a deck of cards and take out the J, Q, and K. Take turns flipping cards one at a time. Say the double of the card (I flip over a 3, I say 6.)
  • Math Riddle: Email me your answer, and I will write your name down on a ticket for a prize when we return! I have 6 tens. The digit in my ones place is 6 less than the digit in my tens place. I am 30 doubled. What am I?

Journal writing- “Tasty Tuesday” Describe the ultimate meal – be sure to add lots of detail!

Brain Break- Looks like a chilly morning to start off the day, but some fresh snow falling this afternoon! Be sure to get out for some fresh air!

Numeracy Block: Zorbits/Splashlearn – play for about 20 min: https://play.zorbitsmath.com/  www.splashlearn.com

  • Do day 2, and addition/subtraction fact family add/subtract 2. If you did not pick up the new packets, choose 2 sheets in your learning packet to complete
  • Practice putting numbers is order from smallest to biggest, then biggest to smallest. Use a deck of cards and take out the 10, J, Q, and K. Flip 2 cards to make a number (ex: flip 3 and 6 number is 36). Make 6 numbers and then put them in order.
  • Math Riddle: Email me your answer, and I will write your name down on a ticket for a prize when we return! I am an odd number. The sum of my tens and ones digit is 18. I am 10 less than 109. What am I?
