Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have started to put the words of the week that we have been working on in class!

Please take 5-10 minutes with your child every day for them to listen and read each word.  These small words and sounds are difficult for a lot of students.  Practice is very important to master the skill and increase their confidence in the ability to read.  These are high frequency words, and they usually make up 50% or more of the total words in a book.

You can also go on the www.flora.nbed.nb.ca  website to review sentences, words, and songs that we practice in class.

MATH:  www.zorbitsmath.com

In the coming weeks, we will be sending home the usernames and passwords for your child to challenge their math abilities at home.

LITERACY:  We will be sending the link and username and password for our reading sites once we get a little bit stronger in fluency.  For now, practicing the alphabet “en français” and sight words are the most important practices.

Thank you for your support and help to make sure that your child has a successful year learning a new language.

This is always exciting for us to see and help them grow!

Regards,

Mme. Gauthier et Mme. Le Bouthillier
