This is the last week of Home Learning. I want to thank you for perservering over the past several weeks! I have appreciated all the effort you have given to guide and help your child continue to learn under the most difficult of circumstances. Enjoy your well earned summer vacation.

      Welcome Back to our second week of Home Learning. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. Easter was different this year as we coudn't get together with our friends and family but still nice to be home with each other healthy and safe. I have linked a song (under weblinks) by The Wiggles about social distancing that I think you will all enjoy!

Home Learning Week of April 14th to 17th

Writing (once a week) Go on a scavenger hunt in your neighborhood for signs of spring, write about what you saw. Did you see robins, grass, tulips, people wearing lighter clothes, bicycles etc., what do you love about spring? Remember to use capitals, periods and spacing between words. Use some transition words (first, next, after that, later). You may also write on a topic of your choice.

Writing Write about what you are enjoying about being home (watchingyourfavourite TV shows, gaming, sleeping in, playing with your toys etc.) and what do you miss about being at school (friends, staff, cafeteria etc.) You could choose to write on a topic of your choosing if you prefer. Be sure to start each sentence with a capital, use a period at the end of a sentence and leave spaces between your words.) Try to write at least ten sentences.

Practice counting by 2’s to 100 then 100 to 0 by 2’s

Practice counting by 2’s to 100 starting at 1 (1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 etc.)

 

Play outside and look for signs of spring.
