Mrs. Corcoran Notes

Welcome to Kindergarten!

Notes

Posted: January 24, 2022

Good morning!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

This week work on finishing up the work in your home packet.  Please return this packet to school when we return to face-to-face learning, which will hopefully be on Monday, January 31st!  I will be so happy to see you. I miss you all very much!

If you finish up your packet, you can continue to work on:

  • Review sight words. Your child should know most of the level A and B sight words at this time.
  • Number identification 0-10
  • Practice your counting skills 0-10 and then 10-0.
  • Draw a number line from 1 to 10 for your child. Practice counting forwards and backwards and have your child point to the number on the number line while they are counting. Call out a number from 1 to 10 and have your child find it on the number line. Then ask your child what comes before the number and after the number.

Today you can listen to the story Monday https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsCQo9MtZCE

For fun check out some of the GoNoodle movement videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2YBT7HYqCbbvzu3kKZ3wnw

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at natalie.corcoran@nbed.nb.ca

Have a great week! :)

Happy Friday!

I hope your Home Learning went well this week! I will be uploading a weekly note on Mondays for the remaing weeks that we are doing Home Learning. I will respond to emails as often as I can during regular school hours.

I know this continues to be an extremely challenging time for parents and I appreciate every effort!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Mrs. Corcoran :)

I saw this apple yesterday when I was out walking in my back field …

I wonder what type of animal was eating it.

What type of animal do you think it was?

I think it was a very tiny animal. What do you think?

The animal did not seem to like to eat the peeling of the apple.

Do you eat the peeling?
