Let curiosity take the lead

Team building activites, Math games, Camouflage in the Field - watch out for bear poop!, using up our school supplies (spot the clipboard, earbuds and whiteboards) and starting to speak ALL in French. They are doing great with the routine of our classroom.

Besides the many forms being sent home lately (which our class is rocking!)........

  • Guided Reading Books: please read their book each night. Don't forget to bring it back!
  • Review Sight words: make it fun! Hide them around the living room to find, write them in the driveway to bike and read, say in strange voices, make a video of them reading the words, read word then do # of jumping jacks/pushups etc that there are letters, etc. If you need another copy, please let me know.
  • Math game: Students have a Math addition game to teach you with their hands.

Our first rotation of word work. Students focus on ten words a week. These are words they've seen in Grade 1&2. Now they're becoming experts with one last review of over 200 words.

Anglophone North's explanation of Covid-19 for Kids

This week students were responsible for taking a close up picture and providing clues as to what the object may be.

Students made bar graphs of their future career possibilities. Results were based on asking family and friends. Some students disagreed with the results while others were thrilled. Only time will tell!

Estimating distances and oral reports on where in NB they'd like to visit. Fingers crossed soon!
