Hello Grade One Families,

Please take the time today or tomorrow, to watch King Street's Remembrance Day Ceremony. It is on our King Street home page. Mrs. Comeau has done a beautiful job at making this for us.

Please note, there will be no home learning tomorrow as it is Remembrance Day.

A Pittance of Time -

Please watch this is a powerful song that has words about the importance of why we give two minutes of silence on November 11th to remember those who fought for us. ♥

Good Morning Grade One Families!

Today would be Terrific Tuesday if we were at school! If you would like to play along, say good morning to your little lion today in a formal voice, and address them formally - good morning Mrs. Lovely or Good Morning Mr. Duguay ! They will get a kick out of it. This is one of their favourite morning greetings!

Attached is the lesson Plan for November 9th, 2021. Please email me if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a great day everyone!

It is very important that students continue to read daily. We have attached instructions on how to login to Epic Books below, which will allow students to read books every day. The program is only available to students until 3pm. Books have been assigned to your child at their reading level and you will notice that some books have a quiz at the end to check their comprehension. If there is not a quiz at the end of the book, then you could ask your child some comprehension questions (see sample comprehension questions in the front of your child's yellow literacy duotang that was sent home in September).

If you do not have the supplies (pencil, crayons, scissors, glue, technology etc) at home to complete any of the assigned tasks on our teach page or  in your Grade 1 Home Learning Package, please email me and I will be sure to get the necessary supplies to you.
